Bischon occurs from Barbet or Water Spanielja. Bichons have been divided into four categories: Bichon Maltais, Bichon Bolognais, Bichon Havanais, and Bichon Teneriffe. Which all generated in the Mediterranean.
Because of their happy arrangement they often went, and where is used as points of barter by seamen. In general believing, that the Spanish seamen entered breed to the Canary Island Teneriffe. In 1300’s the Italian seamen have returned to their continent where they became favourites of the Italian nobleness.
Their popularity has flied up in Henry's court III (1574-89). Also they, where favourite Infant in Spain. The known artist, Goya, included Bichon in some from its works.
In 1800’s Bischon became “common a dog”, operating streets, accompanying body Barbary crushers, resulting blind and doing dodges in circuses and fairs.
In March 5th, 1933 official standard of breed has been accepted by the Society Dog Centrale of France. The president of the International Dog Federation has offered name Bichon Frise. October, 18th 1934 the carnation of the French Club of the Kennel has been admitted in the book.
In 1956 at first dust Bischon has been brought cubs into the world in the USA. In 1959 and 1960, two selectors in the USA got Bichon and they became an origin of breeds in the USA.
Entered into the Different Class September, 1st 1971. Breed of October 1972 have admitted in registration in the American Book the Carnation of Club of the Kennel. April, 4th 1973 breed began having the right to show in Unsportsmanlike Group on displays of dog AKC.
