The system of the Indian classical music known as Raga Sangeet, can be tracked back almost two thousand years to its origin in hymns Vedic of Hindu temples.

Unlike the Western classical music which has written set, the Indian classical work is based on improvisation, and somewhere from 10 % to 90 % of work could be improvised, depending on creative imagination of the artist. Music is given orally to the pupil its guru, usually known as the guru-shishya (teacher-student) parampara (tradition).

The heart of the Indian music - raga, the melodious form on which the artist improvises the work. Everyone raga is characterised by its own specific mood. Thus through rich melodies and a rhythm of the Indian music, each human emotion, each thin feeling in the person and the nature, can be musically expressed and tested.

In aesthetics terms raga - designing of internal spirit of the artist: display of its deep feelings and sensitivity. The musician inhales a life in each ragout as it develops and expands it so that each note flickered and pulsed with a life, and raga is shown bright and sparkling with beauty.

tala, or the rhythmical cycle ragi, plays equally important role in mood expression. There are unique relations between a melody and a rhythm. The complexity represents complexities and refinement from which them weave together. The division on burskom language and pressure on the first blow named the sum, is the most important feature. The most fascinating moment for the tempered listener - when both musicians, after their individual improvisations, come back together on the sum.

Today, the Indian classical music - a constant component of the Western culture. It is a lot of composers and musicians were under the influence of our music.
