The button - object which is used in a subject of clothes either for the purpose of fastening or for an ornament or both. Buttons usually in the form of a disk or the button. Materials are used in buttons
Buttons can be made of a wide variety of materials – plastic, wood, a management, a bone, a small horn, pearls, an ivory, a fabric, bowls, a glass, a skin, stones, ceramic and polymer clay.
Development of buttons
In 13th century, buttons were used an ornament, and then they have started to be used as a functional fastener in 16th century. Within 15-s' and 16-s' centuries the buttons covered with metal with gold and silver, were popular among a noble class. In 18th century, the tendency of buttons of enamel began. In the beginning of 19th century the buttons made of a fabric just as a glass and ceramics, have started to be used, though glass and ceramic buttons were not very popular.
To the middle of 19th century the buttons made of bowls, pearls, a small horn, a steel and managements, became popular. To later part of 19th century of the button of enamel have made returning. To 1930, buttons have started to become, using wood and plastic.
Buttons have been originally entered as means of an ornament of a subject of clothes, but eventually, they have started to serve as fasteners. In 1940, men were in the habit to carry approximately 70 buttons on their subjects of clothes from which only some were useful to fastening.
After the button Second World War have started to be used more in the functional purposes than in the decorative purposes.
Types of buttons
Buttons can have various types, such as:
1) Flat buttons: buttons Flat have apertures so that they could be sewn to clothes subjects. Such buttons could have 2 or 4 apertures on their surface. Such buttons can be attached to a subject of clothes or manually or at sewing-machine use.
2) core Buttons: buttons Shank have a core which is a small bar or a ring enclosed to their back. Buttons can be attached to clothes subject, using this core.
3) the Covered buttons: buttons Covered address to buttons which are made of a fabric which have an appendix on the back party. These buttons can be attached to clothes subject, using this appendix.
