Silk Muga
Silk Muga - a beautiful kind of the silk made in Assam. It is mainly used in manufacture sarees and ‘ mekhla chaddars ’ that is traditional sarees which are carried by Assam brides who are white, painted with border zari. This material is very long and strong, though it looks thin. This type of silk is made from silkworms by name of Antheraea assama or muga silkworms. There are some thousand from families in Assam occupied in manufacture of silk Muga. The samples traditionally used on silk fabric Muga, are inspired by the nature and architecture in area.
Clap Manipuri
Manipur is known for manufacture of a cotton fabric, usually knows as clap Manipuri. Various types of breeding fabrics of Manipur are known, are that as ‘ Moiraingphee ’, ‘ Lasingphee ’ and ‘ Phanek ’. The majority of people in Manipur undertakes an interlacing which is transferred from one generation to another. To children teach how to intertwine since very young age. Motives which are traditionally used in these fabrics, are inspired by the nature. Usually, natural colours are used in these textiles.
Khadi or Khaddar
Khadi which also is known as Khaddar, is pride of India. Khadi - a fabric which is a hand which spin also a hand which have weaved in India. The clap, silk or a wool or a mix of these materials are used for manufacture Khadi. It is a fabric which can be carried and letami and winters. Manufacture Khadi is substantially undertaken in villages of India.
