It is a lot of years, the professional/main authors (authors in general... And not only poets - pesenniki) used the strong and proved technics which separates them from beginners.
And now, I would like to share this confidential technics with you.
If you consistently apply following 3 steps you will notice the big improvement in the songwriting:
1. Collect so a lot of information round the idea of a song as far as possible.
As soon as you have thought up idea for the song, write down (or type) the connected information.
For example:
• Song Type (e.g. a love song, an inspired song, upward-rate, etc.)
• the Song Name
• your purpose (that you wish to reach from songs),
• you try to bring the message through in your listeners
• Emotion you try to cause in your listeners
•... And so on
2. Order, that yours “subconscious mind” has helped you with your purpose.
With the information you have before you, give to your subconscious mind a direct command.
For example:
If you are a lyric poet, how you start to read that before you to speak something as:
“Subconscious mind, create the strong lyrics
With the information I am going to read.
Work on it 24 hours per day..., just when I sleep. ”
(If to you give a melody to write lyrics, to tell following just before melody hearing: “Subconscious mind, create the strong lyrics for a melody which I am going to listen. Work on it 24 hours per day..., just when I sleep.”)
If you are a lyric poet/composer, how you start to read that before you to speak something as:
“Subconscious mind, create a strong song
With the information I am going to read.
Work on it 24 hours per day..., just when I sleep. ”
(With that last command you basically instruct the subconscious mind to think out both lyrics and a melody... “Fine marriage” both).
Now, if you, happens, the composer, you could benefit by this technics also.
Only place the finished lyrics before you and tell something as:
“Subconscious mind, create a strong melody
For lyrics I am going to read. Work
On it 24 hours per day..., just when I sleep. ”
(If you simply wish to create a beautiful melody on an empty place, only to apply Steps 1 - 3. Certainly, in the Step 1, the information part is mentioned e.g. the name of a song or the message through which you try to bring..., are not completely necessary. However, as a rule, the more you have information, the better. That is important, - that your subconscious mind has enough information to work with..., and it knows precisely that you try to reach).
(The note: you are free to create your own version of aforementioned commands. Besides, you can give commands or is loud or silent in your head).
It - even good idea to apply this step before zasypaniem when it was possible.
3. Allow it to go. Think or make something else... Something else. In other words, "trust" the subconscious mind to put..., leaving its way.
It is a solving step. Actually, it is a key to efficiency of this technics. Fairly not applying this step, you will not receive positive results, which you after.
That you do, is you, your instructions simply "allow" your subconscious mind to carry out..., not calling in question it..., not interfering with any case.
In other words, you have distracted from a song, taking short rupture... Or even a somnolence. Or you sleep on it..., and work on it next day (the truth, some authors remove days or one weeks prior to the actual writing). Basically, you wish to give to your subconscious mind enough time to influence that you have instructed it to do. (Much creative people name it a phase "inkubatsii" creative process).
When you will make it, you will notice, that, when you sit down actually to start to write, thoughts or ideas arrive to you more naturally... And more organised way. You will notice the best stream to the letter everywhere. (It - because your subconscious mind has made a lot of work for you... On a background..., while you have been occupied, doing other things... Or while you slept).
(If you are the composer melodious or musical ideas naturally will arrive to you..., and sometimes it happens, when you will least expect it. For this reason it is good idea always to have the tape recorder or the digital vocal registrar convenient..., thus you can sing a melody and make its record).
Also what an application outcome - aforementioned 3 steps (after all editing)?
Strongly moving song.
